Boulder Racing CX Race #3 - Interlocken

The Oskar Blues Brew made it to Boulder Racing Race #3 at Interlocken.  It was a smooth grass venue with some off camber turns, rideable sand, sidewalk and a few barriers but mostly you were on the gas.  You can follow the Gates Carbon Drive blog to see what the team is up to.
A quick view of the Women's Open Start.
Begy running the hill in the women's race.

I mean Flying, seriously....doesn't it look like she is flying? Way to get after it.
Gammey rolling through the grass in the women's race
JHKand Yannick off the front for much of the day, JHK opened up a gap a few laps later for the win.
fellow WISCO Brian Shaning through the shallow sand for a 15th in the Men's Open.
Carlos lead out the SS race for the first 2 laps, going up and over the hill in the first few laps.
first barriers of the year...

I felt like i was a bit faster through some of the more technical parts of the course but Saperstein was able to get a gap on the 2nd to last lap that i couldn't close down.  Single Speed podium with Carlos in the Boulder Racing series leader jersey, Nice Work.

2011 Boulder Racing FINALS (Double Points) comes to Lyon on December 11th.  Stay tuned for Oskar Blues born details.  Have you heard about the Oskar Blues Bone Wagon????  It's be there!

The new center track set up is a great leap forward. That baby sheds mud and enguages much better than past systems. Bring on the mud.

OB Fueled Salvegetti Bicycle Workshop

Salvegetti Bicycle Workshop just celebrated their annual bike party and good times were had by all. For the past three years Salvegetti has held this event and each year they have worked to celebrate those who promote cycling in Colorado and raise some funds for them at the same time.
This year one special lady and two groups received the special attention of the Salvegetti Bike Party fueled by Oskar Blues Brewery. The First was the City of Denver’s bike planner, Emily Snyder. This party was a surprise for Emily and when the 200+ attendees greeted her at the door with a huge thank you for all that she has done in the Denver cycling community she was left speechless.
As the party moved on the event ended with a raffle of bike swag, clothing and even a frame, which raised over $1000! There were two recipients for these funds, Bike Denver and the William Smith High School Mountain Bike Team.
Bike Denver is Denver’s local bike advocacy group who works to promote policy, infrastructure, and events that make Denver a better city for cyclists. www.bikedenver.org The William Smith High School mountain bike team is the first metro Denver high school mountain bike team and they are keeping it real on a shoestring budget! With the funds from the bike party all of the team members’ registration fees were paid for as well as a chunk of their clothing costs. Thank to everone for makin' this happen, cheers!

Ska Brewing Anniversary and Ride

We loaded up to visit out brothers in D-town for their 16th Anniversary....How could we not when they are throwing a beerfest party with The Toasters playing.
First we had to drop off a gift at Avery....not a bad Friday for them.
The ride was a sweet shuttle serviced by Hermosa Creek Tours, comfy.
Jeremy getting that thing rolling on the HCT.
SKA's own Dave Thibodeau rolling wtih fall colors behind him.
Leader of the Durangutangs Chad Cheaney chases a Ten FIDY down the trail.
Great views all day.
Lettin' it roll, felt like most of the day was coasting.
We ran into a sweet RAVEN CYCLE WERKS rig up there. A super small 29er custom, nice rig.
The SKA boys get a toast on stage with the Toasters!
With a heck of a ride and a great party behind is it was time to enjoy the colors on the way home. looking forward to next year, cheers!
