Suprise: Kenosha Pass to Breckenridge...and back

We jumped in the truck with an idea of a 2 hour ride...i returned home a day later in the same clothes with great stories and a large smile. Jeremy & Dale get rolling on the Colorado Trail from Kenosha Pass. Navigating a tricky bridge The view looking back towards Kenosha Pass A great view near Georgia Pass Jeremy rolls over the summit of Georgia Pass Jeremy enjoys a Dale's Pale Ale below the view of Boreas Mtn. Dale getting after it on the descent. After a long descent we came out on Tiger Road. Jeremy soaks up the sun & river with a DPA in Breckenridge. We hit up Breckenridge Brewery for some Wings & then headed to Southridge Seafood in Breck for an amazing dinner & a Dale's Pale Ale. That place is great, the group ordered much off the menu & there wasn't anything that wasn't great. After a night of beer & seafood we grabbed some sleep. We had time restraints in the return trip so we headed up Boreas Pass & Cheered on the Breck Epic before hitting trail. Dale drops into the Gold Dust Trail.
The terrain throughout the ride changed multpile times & quickly...this was a fun smooth section through the trees

There were a few sections of tough ups & downs.

We dropped out of the Gold Dust Trail with a good amount of road remaining. Full Circle.

A Tuesday Night Quicky....and a Sneak Peak

After kicking the Tuesday Night Ride off with a Dale's Pale Ale and a group mechanical things got dark quickly. The climb was as steep and tough as I remembered, BUT the downhill in the dark was tougher than I thought & dab I did. Right off the bat getting the hike going up a tough section along the river.
Yeah, he was not alone.
YEP.
Tree was the only one to ride the river...Nice work.
We caught a nice glimpse of Longs as Darkness came upon us....& that's all I got, it was all dark & downhill (kinda) from here.

NEXT WEEK WILL BE A TRAILWORKIN' TUESDAY... CHECK DETAILS HERE.

yes, yes, the sneak peak...nice jersey.

Nederland HalfAss 100

Its time for another big ride in the saga of big Ned rides!

This year’s HalfAss is double loop of approximately equal distance, 50 miles each -beginning, ending, and half way in Town of Nederland.

We’ll start by heading south through Gilpin County and finish going North in Boulder County. This year we include quite a bit of uncommon single track which will be a blast, and using GPS will be best, or sticking with someone who *thinks* they know where they are going. With 2 loops you’ve got the option to go ‘half..ass’ and drop out after the first to hang for that good ol music event Ned Fest, or attempt the ‘full ass’ knowing that there are return points so you don’t go so deep you miss the beer at 7. …of course there are no bragging rights unless you complete whole enchilada as they say.

See you at 6:00a.m. [6:30 start] Saturday Aug 28th at Happy Trails in Ned. We’ll end at the Wild Mt for beer and food on the porch.
