Oskar Blues Brewery presented the 2008 Lyons Outdoor Games this past weekend right here on our very own home court. The event absolutely went off right from the start. Friday night began the games with Oskar Blues catering a kickoff party including live music & the premier of kayak movie: The Lost World, Hotel Charley vol. 3. Saturday morning the Oskar Blues Bus shuttled the top kayakers in the world up to the Narrows of the South Saint Vrain Creek for the 2nd annual Adam Barron Memorial Creek Race where Tao Berman took top honors. You can check out the autographed boat Tao raced in Oskar Blues' new outside patio area. After the race we had one of the Dog Competitions which seemed to be a big hit. My personal favorite event of the weekend was the Dirt Jump competition. Bitterbursh cycles & the local volunteers brought out some front range big hitters to duke it for cold hard ca$h..an event which left none of the spectators dissappointed. Next up was the throw down party of the weekend as everyone migrated from the new Dirt Jump Park to OB. Some of the dirt jumpers came on down & put on a few shows of flatland freestyle while folks ate & drank over conversations of the day. Sunday left the Pro frestyle competition in the A-Hole...again...wow what a bag of tricks these guys have. Eventually the day came to an end & it was time for a DPA on the river.Eric Jackson post frestyle on the banks of the Saint Vrain.
Here are some bits of info I've seen on the web today. Stay tuned for our pictures, photo eddie is still looking for his socks & his flask of Don Julio.HERE are a couple pics from my buddy Bryan. I found THESE as well. The Times Call captured THESE babies.
