Kicking off the Crested Butte Arts Festival weekend (39th Annual) is the all new “Art of the Ride” clinic on Friday afternoon, August 5th. Join Gunnison valley’s own Dave Wiens, Doug Bradbury & The Oskar Blues crew for a tour of some of Mt. Crested Butte’s finest on mountain trails, followed by a mountain bike maintenance clinic and ice cold brews from Oskar Blues for $45. Foodies and oenophiles can sample exceptional cuisine and award winning wines by Darcie Kent vineyards at the Kick off Gala Friday night. Celebrated Colorado Chefs Vaughn Hobbs (Viking), Rachel Kesley (Watercourse Foods), Brian Laird (Borolo Grill) Jason Rogers (Homemade Liquids & Solids) and Tyler Wiard (Elway’s - Cherry Creek) will each prepare and serve a signature dish at dinning stations spread throughout the luxurious venue inside Elevation Hotel & Spa. The evening will be a true celebration of the visual, performing and culinary arts with exhibiting artist demos and musical entertainment by Tyler Hansen. Additional culinary events include a wine and food pairing seminar at Djangos, Craft Beer & BBQ dinner with Chef Jason Rogers and a cocktail seminar featuring the newly released Cupcake Vodka line.
