Maah Daah Hey - Maaahdddness
Destination - North Dakota
Why North Dakota you ask??? - The "Maah Daah Hey Trail"
What is the Maah Daah Hey Trail? - The Maah Daah Hey Trail is a 100-mile hiking, mountainbike trail that winds its way through the wilderness of the North Dakota Badlands.
Who? - A group from Colorado and a group from South Carolina who travel miles every year to meet up for a week long quest for singletrack, and oh, a crap load of the good stuff.
Last year a small batch of Dale's Pale ale went along for the trip and the East Coasters begged for more. This year, Milo Metcalf (racer for the Trek Store in Boulder) made sure that the group got their wish. 10 cases of the blue can and 1 variety pack along with a box of schwag. Well after a week of tackling the Maah Daah Hey and clockin some serious miles, only 1 case was remaining at the end of the week. Its safe to say that the spirit of the blue can will remain in that group for a long long time.
Here are some photos from the trip:
A few East Coaster looking for oxygen at a whopping 2000 feet (had to throw that in)
Breathe, Breathe, putting in the miles with thoughts of beer on their mind:
There is climbing in North Dakota...
South Carolina's 2009 Clydesdale State Champ:
Givin some love for the Blue Can from up above.
Not a bad effort - 2 cases plus some change
Where Buffalo used to roam
Sendin the boys East with a message....
