Rocky Mountain Endurance Series March Newsletter

Nice weather, dry conditions, and longer days are calling us to get on our bikes and hit the trails! We enjoyed dialing in the Voodoo Fire course with the help of Pueblo local Janet Ross of Great Divide Ski Bike & Hike, and Austin Clark of Southern Colorado Trail Builders Association. The spectacular trails of Lake Pueblo State Park are a hidden gem. This racecourse highlights the special place that Vance of Vance's Bicycle World and many others in the group have created. You will want to include this inaugural race on your calendar.

The course features 90% singletrack with names like The Duke, Quatro Cinco, Voodoo, Outer Limits, Rollercoaster and Stonehenge. For map and course directions, please visit the Voodoo Fire race page. Western Maps has accurately detailed this sprawling system and allowed us to use their map.

For those of you who have not yet registered for Voodoo Fire, you have a few more days for early registration. On April 1, the entry fee will increase to $85. The first 200 to register receive a goodie bag and custom clothing. You can support a racer by volunteering on Race Crew, and get them a discount on their entry fee. Our events are successful because of the support that we receive from our volunteers. We encourage family, friends and the local community to join our Crew. There are opportunities at Voodoo Fire, April 23, and the Denver Fat Tire Festival, May 7, in areas such as operations, registration, aid stations and course marshalling. Please contact John Hutchinson at hutch@warriorscycling.com. A big thanks to all of you who help make these events a success.
