a little snow ain't stoppin nothin'....is it race time already?

We've come across a few weeks of winter here in the front range so Photo-Eddie & I headed up to Eldora to find some early morning tracks. Friday night I headed home from Redstone Cyclery early after getting started on the frankendale & lending a hand to Doug's new Turner Sultan build. The early Saturday morning rise & shine certainly payed off & good turns were had before heading into the lodge for a Dale's Pale Ale...mmmmm.Eddie the Eagle takin' flight.

Sunday I had a few bike maintenance issues to show a little attention to...the old Sobe Cannondale race bike was finished & singleized into the Frankendale as well as a little upgrade to the Spot as the race season approaches. The Frankendale was the choice of ride as a few of us headed out from Redstone Cyclery into the snowy & moist day.
Deathmarch Dave & Doug heading into Hall Ranch.
It was a good day with a bit of sunshine & a lot of moisture.
Doug getting it in the snow.
aahh it was a good ride followed by a good brew or two. Check out a few more pics from the Redstone Underground.

Holy smokes look OUT, the race season is right behind you!
A few of the OB crew will be making our way down to Gallup, NM for race number one of the Oskar Blues inspired Rocky Mountain Ultra Series this coming weekend. Stop number one will be my first vist to the 12 hour Dawn til Dusk race, come join us for a beer. Lookin' down the barrel of a gun it was time to show a little attention to my Spot. Dave at Redstone dialed in my Hayes Stroker brakes with a rebuild kit while I made a visit to the fine folks at Maverick for a quick switch & upgrade to the SC32 on the Spot.
Dave made some custom magic happen during the brake mounting process & we get 'er dialed in, thanks Dave. Heading out on the Redstone Tuesday night ride tonight for a little test ride...stay tuned.
